According to the Wood Dale Police Department, officers were called to a home in the 300 block of East Montrose Avenue around 2:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire. When police arrived, they discovered two individuals suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Both Angela and Domenico were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the tragedy was a domestic incident that ended in a murder-suicide, though officials have not released further details on what may have led up to the fatal confrontation.
