Authorities in Calera spent several hours managing a tense situation overnight after a 47-year-old man isolated himself inside a small shed, prompting a large law-enforcement response. The individual is now safely in custody, and no injuries were reported.
According to officials, the standoff began late in the night when officers were called to a property where the man had retreated into an outbuilding and refused to come out. Because of concerns for everyone’s safety, additional units were brought in to help stabilize the situation and keep the surrounding area secure.
