Authorities Looking Into Incident After Man Located Unresponsive Near Edinburg
Local authorities are reviewing the circumstances surrounding an incident near Edinburg after a man was discovered unresponsive in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to information shared by the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were sent to the 23700 block of Calle Guillermo shortly after midnight. When they arrived, they found an adult male lying on the property and not responding.
Deputies immediately began providing urgent assistance in an effort to revive him. The individual was later identified as Roberto Carlos Ornelas. He was transported to a nearby medical facility, where he was later confirmed to have passed despite the efforts to help him.
Officials say the situation remains under active review as they work to understand what happened and gather all necessary details. More information is expected to be released as the inquiry continues.
