CEDAR PARK, TX — The community of Cedar Park is struggling to come to terms with a heartbreaking tragedy that unfolded late Sunday night, November 2, 2025, leaving one man dead and many questions still unanswered. According to the Cedar Park Police Department (CPPD), officers fatally shot 24-year-old Jacob Allen, of Cedar Park, following a stabbing incident that occurred at a local karaoke bar.
The incident began around 11:45 p.m., when officers were dispatched to a disturbance call at a karaoke establishment near 183A Toll Road and East Whitestone Boulevard. Reports indicated that a man, later identified as Allen, had allegedly stabbed another patron during an altercation inside the venue. When officers arrived, chaos had already spilled into the parking lot, where Allen was reportedly still armed with a knife.
According to police, commands were issued for Allen to drop the weapon, but after he allegedly advanced toward officers, they opened fire. Despite immediate medical aid and life-saving measures performed at the scene, Jacob Allen was pronounced deceased a short time later. The stabbing victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover.
